Less than six months after her arrival in the UK, Keren has started the Open Research Cambridge community and later the Society To Science community, promoting inclusion in science.
This experience was soon translated into an online educational tool, reaching people beyond the local communities and around the globe with scientific knowledge. The Scientific Literacy Tool initiative was soon endorsed by the UK Google campus for mums and women in tech communities.
It is her perseverance and her commitment to making knowledge available to anyone in society and her success as an entrepreneur that would make her a good candidate for the Migrant Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award. She is a shining example of a social entrepreneur, helping her community while generating revenue that means the social contributions can be self-sustaining and lasting.
